I represented a home care company that provided care to an elderly woman who was injured in an accident and who ultimately required a leg amputation. Her insurance company claimed it did not have to p ... ay my client because the care was not related to her accident injuries. We relied on two of her treating doctors who concluded otherwise. We tried the case to a jury, who awarded the full amount of my client's bills plus 12% penalty interest under the No-Fault Act.

My client was injured while walking through a business when a stack of 1,000 pound cardboard fell on him, breaking his hip. The insurance company refused to offer anything reasonable, so we filed suit, ... engaged in aggressive discovery, and were able to obtain two critical jury instructions (for res ipsa loquitur and spoliation of evidence) from the judge. We tried the case to a jury, who awarded my client at least 3 times what the insurance company was offered. We were also able to recover attorney fees based on an offer of judgment.
