Scott Douglas Hjelm

Scott Hjelm has dedicated the past 25 years to practicing law in Oklahoma and its surrounding areas. His primary focus lies in personal injury, auto negligence, insurance claims, workers' compensation, and criminal defense. He is authorized to represent clients in all courts across Oklahoma, as well as in federal district courts within the state and the 10th Circuit Court of Appeals located in Denver, Colorado.

Scott earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Tulsa College of Law and has also studied at Queen's College, Oxford University in England. He holds a degree in Business Administration from Oklahoma State University. While attending law school, Scott balanced his studies with a full-time position as a court bailiff for District Judge David Peterson, attending classes in the evenings. He subsequently served as a legal intern, associate attorney, and eventually a partner at Herb Elias and Associates.

Currently, Scott is the managing partner of a firm with a legacy that dates back to 1963. Over his extensive 30-year involvement in the court system, Scott has successfully conducted more than 200 jury trials and has secured millions of dollars in compensation for clients who have been victims of negligence. Throughout his career, he has achieved numerous acquittals in challenging criminal cases.
