RG v. Hopsital
Apr 20, 2016OUTCOME: Settled for Confidential Amount
We recently settled a Wayne County lawsuit against a hospital and two physicians for their failure to properly diagnose and treat several herniated discs in a 52 year old man’s cervical spine. As a re ... sult of such failure to diagnose and timely treat his condition, the discs compressed his spinal cord resulting in him sustaining severe and permanent neurologic injuries. As a result of the delay in diagnosing his condition, he developed Cauda Equina Syndrome and was left with severe limitations in his lower extremities and right hand. The lawsuit claimed that if the patient had received proper and timely surgical treatment, he would not have sustained any paralysis and would be functioning normally today. The case was settled prior to Trial for a confidential amount.
