Biography
Born in North Carolina, Attorney Taylor McLawhorn moved to Oklahoma to attend Oklahoma City University’s School of Law. During his time in law school, he interned with the Oklahoma Indigent Defense System’s Capital Direct Appeals Division and the Oklahoma County Public Defender’s Office. He was then recruited by the Chief Public Defender and gained invaluable experience as he continued working with the Public Defender’s Office. As an advocate for the accused, McLawhorn is known for being honest and hands-on. That approach has earned him recognition such as Top 10 in Oklahoma City and Top 40 Under 40 by The National Trial Lawyers.
