Defense of lawsuit by multi-national agribusiness suing Arkansas corporation and 13 owners and directors for violation of the Plant Variety Protection Act. At trial, Syngenta was seeking $157 million ... dollars damages. In closing argument after a two-week trial, Mr. Carson argued that if any damages were awarded, the correct amount was $78,397. The jury found for the Plaintiff but awarded $78,397.
