Dorothy Crookshank

Dorothy Crookshank is a highly trained and educated legal researcher and legal writer who is currently working with Doug Norwood on the writing and publishing of criminal defense resource casebooks for practitioners. Dorothy graduated Phi Beta Kappa and Magnum Cum Laude from Temple University in Philadelphia in History and went on to graduate near the top of her law school class at the University of Arkansas School of Law at Fayetteville.

Always with an interest in research and writing and a passion for criminal defense, upon graduation from law school, Dorothy worked as the Judicial Law Clerk for the Hon. Steele Hays of the Arkansas Supreme Court. She stayed in that position for fifteen years, accumulating invaluable criminal law experience during her tenure and honing her skills as a legal researcher and writer.

Dorothy has considerable experience as an appellate attorney, working for clients in a private appellate practice and has also been involved continuously with national organizations working for the rights of criminal defendants.
