Aaron Christopher Rooney

Aaron C. Rooney is a general practice attorney who focuses primarily on domestic law, including divorce, child custody, and adoption. In addition to his extensive experience in family-related cases, he handles matters involving contract disputes, business formation, intellectual property, creditor bankruptcy, personal injury, property conflicts, replevin actions, and a broad range of civil and criminal issues.

Clients appreciate Aaron’s empathy and relatability. After 14 years as a primary custodial parent, Aaron understands firsthand the emotional and legal challenges families face during divorce and custody disputes. His insight allows him to help others navigate these challenges with compassion and clarity to achieve the best possible legal outcomes. Aaron offers partnership and support. He listens carefully, explains how the law applies, and empowers clients so they feel heard, understood, and actively involved in the direction of their case.

Prior to entering the legal profession, Aaron helped retailers and global brands design and execute in-store promotions across four continents for Walmart vendors. He oversaw two separate offices in Northwest Arkansas (NWA) in support of Walmart’s national expansion efforts. During the process, he found himself drawn to the community and felt deeply inspired to change course and pursue a law degree to better serve the people with their critical legal needs.

Aaron is also an instructor at the University of Arkansas and the author of The Legal Liabilities of Predictive Analytics, Federal Antitrust Actions in the Livestock Industry, Certifications for Minority or Women-Owned Businesses, and Termination of Child Support in Arkansas.

Aaron has three adult children. His son is a former Army Ranger and now works in financial research. His daughters live and work in NWA and attend local colleges and universities. Aaron enjoys hiking the Ozarks and running local trails when not assisting clients.
