Trustworthy, accessible and compassionate, I return calls and reply to emails promptly. After practicing law for more than 30 years I still enjoy meeting with individuals and families to explain how simple and low stress estate planning can be. We tailor each estate plan to each client's needs, which means the unique issues that present themselves keep things interesting and keep us always learning. A comprehensive estate plan should nominate guardians for children under age 18 and for the person creating the plan (in case of an accident, stroke or dementia), advise loved ones of the client's wishes regarding health care, including end of life decisions, and provide for the distribution of assets after a death consistent with the client's wishes - to the people and causes most important to them, when appropriate based on each person's maturity. We work to avoid guardianship and probate when possible so as to save expenses and keep our clients' financial affairs private. As people age and fear being impoverished by long term health care costs, we consider it a privilege to help you protect assets and plan for eligibility for Medicaid and/or Veterans Administration pension benefits.

My widowed mother has been diagnosed with Alzheimer's. My sister and I want her to live independently as long as possible. Part of our concern is her becoming the financial victim of criminals who prey on the elderly. We suggested and she agreed that creating an irrevocable trust was the right thi...
"I would recommend Gayle to someone who needed help, and I look forward to working with her on future matters. She (refreshingly) understands that advocacy doesn't require that an attorney stop being reasonable."
