Divorce sucks. We all know this, but this firm is very difficult to stay in contact with. He and the staff failed to answer many questions...and when divorce day came - guess who didnt have an attorney present. ME! WOW, I had no prior experience going through this, but I expected a little more th...an this. Turns out I spent twice what my ex did on attorney fees...and we dont even have children to fight over. One consultation. One quote. One payment. And one court date, with NO attorney.

I am so lucky I DID NOT see the rating below, til after I hired Jared and ex tried to use the poor rating to belittle my choice. Jared was/is EXCELLENT. You are told up front, returned calls take a few days ( 2) YOU ARE NOT THE ONLY CLIENT! Be fair to others, they are just as important as you! My... calls were returned in no less than 48 hrs! My divorce went almost too quick, 3 months ( no kids) He went to court with me to remove spouse from the home during the process, ( scary white knuckle process, but we "won") Jared worked hard for me, and WITH me and I was rewarded everything that I should have been, he had a excellent rep with the opposing attorney, in fact I overheard her asking his advice on another case. He also has a wonderful rep with the county judges. He met with me a few times, and answered questions on the phone and DID NOT run my fee up. He is willing to work with me on the remaining fee. If you want someone to work for you, stand by you... understand you are chicken and have no clue of the system, but want what is fair. THIS IS YOUR MAN! Never ever was I spoke to rudely by the receptionist, in fact she too I felt was my friend as I had to call and sometime leave really stupid embarrassing messages with her. HAVE NO FEAR HIRING THIS ATTORNEY!!! NONE!!!!

Going through a divorce is no walk in the park itself, which is why I assumed having representation would at least help with the sting a little bit. I paid this attorney thousands of dollars to "help" me with my case and have had nothing but unanswered questions & unreturned phone calls in "support"... from him. There have even been weeks where I would call every day to leave a message with the receptionist for the entire firm - without hearing back. My attorney never provided me with a direct phone number, and the only number I'm allowed to use in attempts to contact someone for assistance is the receptionist - who has a very bad attitude mind you. If you're experiencing a situation like mine, you need questions answered and phone calls returned without weeks or even a month passing in between. This is very hard as it is, having an attorney that is good for nothing, that I’m basically stuck with because I paid in full already is horrible. There is nothing I can do. Nobody above him I can speak with. I have met my attorney ONE time in the 10 months this case has dragged on, and his assistant has returned my phone call ONCE. I HOPE YOU READ THIS IS YOU’RE CONSIDERING JARED KOCUREK OR ANY OTHER ATTORNEY FROM THE “MARX, ALTMAN, & JOHNSON” FIRM. Don’t waste your time AND MONEY! You’re asking for more heartache and stress. Good luck with your case, and I hope yours turns out better than mine has.
