I am one of about a dozen lawyers that has been listed in Best Lawyers in America (a true peer review publication, unlike Avvo) for the last 15 years. My estimate of 500 cases is just an estimate. Divorce and separation involves all areas of family law, including settlement agreements, probate, will contests, and family property disputes. I handle many high asset and high income divorces where business issues are involved. I also handle all aspects of child custody, visitation, and support.
I handle business litigation on a regular basis. The high asset divorce cases I handle are essentially business litigation. I regularly handle cases involving all aspects of business controversies, many of which result in litigation.
If you lost at trial, it is not the end of the road. My firm has handled the appeals of many cases over the years, and we have managed to get the trial court's decision reversed on a substantial number of occasions.
I am selective about the personal injury, product liability, wrongful death, business damage, medical and legal malpractice and other cases where you only pay me if I win your case. But when I take a case, I usually win it. I have recovered in the range of 40 million dollars in such cases over the last 28 years.
I cannot guess at the number of cases I have handled involving real estate matters, so I have not attempted to do so. But there have been many over the nearly 30 years I have been in practice.
Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.
