My best advice is that you avoid this one

This guy is either inexperienced, unethical, or ignorant to the law. He was dishonest with uus or seriously has zero legal knowledge as to the exact field of law he claims to specialize in. He told us to withhold information from people I we were required to provide it to, never advised us of the ...duties or limitations of things we were allowed to do as my mother-in-law’s POA. He himself even denied access to the interested parties & now we are finding out he screwed us all up, thinking it was funny to make other family members sit in the dark while we tried taking care of my mother-in-law’s affairs & advising us to ignore the requests made by them that in reality we were required to communicate about. He never mentioned duties we had to follow & he even laughed about his denying my in-laws information that they legally were privy to & said to make them take us to court to get the information while we handled her affairs & spent money that we weren’t technically supposed to spend. He told us we had the right to do a lot of stuff that now we are finding out were totally not allowed & when we brought it to his attention he basically told us to lie to my in-laws about his being involved & we did. That bit us in the butt & we are sued for taking his advice. He was confidant that we would be able to get away with what all we did & said no judge would side with my in-laws, but now we might be returning a very large amount of money that we have already spent & do not have to pay back. He forgot to inform us we couldn’t spend money we did & to keep a ledger for when they came asking questions. My daughter could be facing criminal charges as well as my husband & now he is still advising us to lie to my in-laws & simply answer them with see you in court when they ask any questions regarding the money spent & purchases made after her death. Now we discover that our ignorance of the law is not a good defense & this guy is acting like he doesn’t recall advising us to do all of the things we did. He got a lot of money for his work & now he feels that because we have connections in the legal community we should probably be reaching out & reinforcing those ties. Good advise now that we are being held accountable for basically making life as hard as possible for My in-laws as he instructed us to do.
