Hired Attorney Hill to resolve business tax audit issues. Was successful. Will continue to use Attorney Hill's tax and business services in the future. When asked about "caution" he received from Arkansas Bar, Attorney Hill explained that it was given for his having filed an appeal for his youngest ...sister, from an Arkansas probate decision unlawfully giving guardianship of his youngest sister to another sister and brother who previously had stolen $320,000 from the youngest sister and there after having the youngest sister victim involuntarily placed in a mental institution, from where attorney Hill had rescued her. Attorney Hill explained that the Arkansas Probate Judge had conducted, in Attorney Hill's absence from the U.S., a 10 minute hearing without the statutorily required notice, no medical testimony that the sister needed a guardian and without the youngest sister being present in court, all of which violated Arkansas probate court. That the embezzling sister, married to Lawrence Welk, Jr, sought legal control of the youngest sister to stop the litigation Attorney Hill had ongoing against that sister and the youngest brother, Jeffrey Hill, and it was rumored that the Arkansas Probate Judge involved had been bribed by Mrs Welk to conduct the illegal guardianship hearing without the dstatutorily required due process. Attorney Hill also explained that both the Nevada and California Bar Association refused to implement "reciprocal" cautionary discipline in that Attorney Hill had acted appropriately in providing the victimized sister with representation to the Arkansas Court of Appeals.

After learning of Attorney Hill's discipline by the Arkansas Bar, I researched and found that it was because he filed an appeal to the Arkansas Court of Appeals for his sister, when the guardian/conservator appointed by an Arkansas Probate Court had stolen money from his sister and no other person or... entity would file an appeal from the appointment of the guardian, who was legally conflicted with the guardian appointed by the Arkansas Probate Court in 2009. In all my dealings and business relationship with Donald Hill, I found him to be knowledgeable, always willing to see me and discuss my tax problems, even on short notice. It is my opinion that Mr. Hill should have been lauded by the Arkansas Bar for defending his sister when she had been abandoned by the appointed attorney ad litem appointed for his sister. The facts of Mr, Hill's conduct and his sister's case against the guardian appointed by the Arkansas Probate Court had previously been tried in Minnesota. Mr. Hill showed me a 32 page decision of a Minnesota Court which found no wrongdoing by Mr. Hill in defending his sister against her siblings who had stolen over $300,000 from his sister, then shortly thereafter, had her involuntarily and wrongly committed to a mental health institution as found by the Minnesota Court in 2014. The Arkansas discipline for Mr. Hill's filing of an appeal, took place in 2015, completely ignoring the prior Minnesota Court's rulings which just did not seem right as the Minnesota Court had found that Mr. Hill had championed his sister's case. I found Mr. Hill to be a fine person, an experienced and knowledgeable tax attorney. He listened to me and assisted in my business and tax planning saving my business and my family a significant amount of Tax dollars. Later in our business relationship, I found out that Attorney Hill had been providing free legal services for disabled American Veterans for more than 12 years, recovering education benefits for 30 of them residing overseas. In my opinion, Attorney Hill is a terrific attorney and someone I would highly recommend to others. I was shocked at the Arkansas Bar when I read that it had disciplined Mr. Hill for providing representation of the seemingly unlawful appointment of a person whom his sister was then suing to recover the $300,000 stolen from her.
