OUTCOME: Legal malpractice case settled, bringing the company back from the verge of bankruptcy

In a blatant conflict of interest, attorneys for a closely-held corporation engaged in dual representation of both the company and controlling shareholders, including by drafting onerous employment con ... tracts to cement their positions. After the controlling shareholders looted the company, we helped the minority shareholders regain control of the business and ultimately recoup its losses via a lawsuit against the lawyers for legal malpractice.

OUTCOME: Adverse decision reversed, reinstating client's claims relating to stolen horse and leading to favorable settlement

In a case involving the theft of our client's prized Lipizzan horse, the trial court dismissed most of her claims. Although the jury returned a verdict in her favor on the remaining count, it awarded ... zero damages. We successfully reversed the trial court's decision on appeal, resulting in the reinstatement of our client's claims for fraud and unjust enrichment, ultimately leading to a favorable settlement.
