You got what you paid for

During consult he was willing to go to trail if necessary. Charged flat rate of 3,800.00. for felony charge without any prior record what so ever. Then decide I am going to take a plea bargain right before the pretrial hearing. Doesn't bother explaining it to me and clearly didn't bother going over i...t for himself. Told me the judge didn't know what she was talking about in regards to felon with guns and when I tried contacting him after the plea to show him the judge was right he told me I got what I paid for and higher another attorney.

It amazes me on how someone can give a review, yet not leave a name. This individual did come to my office and yes, she did hire me. However, this individual only paid $800 of the $3,800 amount. Further, based on the charges and evidence, trial was not a viable as she would have had to do hard time found guilty. If you give an officer permission to search your vehicle after a valid stop, there is not much that can be done. This particular individual received the state minimum and if she completes all requirements, a not-guilty verdict will entered into the record. While she only paid $800 and not the $3,800, as stated, I still completed my representation. In closing, no attorney can force a client to take a deal, as the judge asked specially if she understood and found her guilty plea to be voluntary.

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
