Lucien H Marioneaux Jr

In addition to owning and operating Marioneaux & Williams, LLC (formerly Marioneaux Law Firm), a private general law practice specializing in personal injury, estate planning and general corporate representation including transaction and litigation, Lucien H. Marioneaux, Jr., has also held positions as an Assistant District Attorney in the Louisiana parishes of Caddo, Bossier and Webster.  Lucien also holds various real estate and oil and gas positions along with a variety of private equity holdings in business and industry throughout Texas and Louisiana.  Lucien has enjoyed a prominent legal career throughout the State of Louisiana spanning almost 20 years.

Prior to returning home to North Louisiana, Lucien previously held the position of Senior Director of Security, Risk Management and Regulatory Compliance of L’Auberge duc Lac Casino Resort, an expansive 227-acre luxury gaming resort located in Lake Charles, Louisiana, with 2,500 employees and revenues exceeding $380 million per year.  Lucien was responsible for all aspects of the property security and regulatory compliance programs for the State of Louisiana, the U.S. Department of Treasury, Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (Title 31) and Sarbanes-Oxley.  Lucien directed all general liability and workers compensation matters and worked closely with outside and corporate legal counsel to ensure efficient and effective resolution. 

Lucien is also active in the Louisiana Bar Association, the Shreveport Bar Association, the DeSoto Parish Bar Association and formerly the Louisiana Casino Association and the Louisiana District Attorney’s Association where he had the unique experience of working directly with local, state, and federal governmental and elected officials on issues important to these various interests.  Lucien has served as co-chair of the Southwest Chamber of Commerce’s Governmental Affairs Committee and was a visiting professor For McNeese State University where he taught The Legal Environment of Business.

Lucien earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting from Louisiana Tech University in Ruston, Louisiana in 1995 and his Law Degree from Louisiana State University, Paul M. Hebert Law Center, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana in 1998.

Lucien is also a commercial, multi, single and turbo-fan engine, instrument-rated, fixed wing pilot and a commercial helicopter pilot.  Lucien enjoys flying personally, for business and for various law enforcement agencies throughout the State of Louisiana.
