Jennifer Alford Kinberger

A native of Alexandria, Louisiana, Jennifer Kinberger has called Baton Rouge home for more than 20 years. She has been an attorney with the Tomeny | Best Injury Lawyers since 2014, after teaching business communication, public speaking, and communication and gender at Louisiana State University.

Jennifer has a bachelor’s degree in general studies with minors in anthropology, history, and women’s and gender studies from LSU. She received her master’s degree in communication studies from LSU in 2006.

Although she loved teaching, Jennifer decided to return to LSU in 2009 to pursue a law degree to satisfy her passion for learning. She earned several awards for her high grades in legal research and writing, administrative law, gender and the law, successions, donations, and trusts. During law school, she was a member of the Louisiana Law Review and a professor’s research assistant, working on law review articles and a textbook. She also had externships with U.S. District Court Judge Brian A. Jackson and the East Baton Rouge District Attorney’s Office. She is a member of the American Association for Justice

Jennifer has a Juris Doctor and Diploma in Comparative Law. She is a member of the Baton Rouge Bar Association and the Louisiana State Bar Association. She is also a member of the Louisiana Association for Justice, an organization that promotes justice in the workplace and the honor and dignity of the legal profession. In addition to practicing law in the United States District Court.

When she is not working, Kinberger spends time with her young daughter, reading children’s books instead of legal briefs.
