My entire adult years have been entwined with Baton Rouge, both in my personal and professional lives. I arrived here in 1973 to attend law school at LSU and became a Tiger fan, became a lawyer here in 1976, married a girl from Opeloussas in 1978, raised a son, coached baseball, soccer, and basketball, serve as Cub Scout Den Leader, joined and acheived leadership positions in various civic groups, founded and ran my neighborhood's crime watch organization, and built a law practice. I embraced the hunting and fishing opportunities afforded by south Louisiana's abundant bays, marshes, and woodlands, learned to savour and to cook our culinary treasures, and have called Baton Rouge "home" for 37 years.
My law practice has grown from the personal referrals made by satisfied clients - no billboards, no television ads, no mass mailings, no full page telephone directory pages. I have always believed that a job well done has more rewards than a paycheck, and I try my best to treat my clients the same way I would expect to be treated by others.
