Writing a will and giving someone financial and medical power of attorney are not pleasant things to think about and so I put that task off until an incident involving a friend convinced me of the need to ensure that legal protections were in place that would allow me to live my final years in keepin...g with my wishes. I contacted Legacy Estate and Elder Law. I had seen a presentation by Linda Melancon at a conference, several years previously. I wanted to redo my will and at the same time create a trust so my daughter would not have to go through probate.
