Douglas Spencer Smith Jr

Douglas S. Smith, Jr. is an Associate with Olinde & Mercer, L.L.C. He is a 2013 graduate of Paul M. Hebert Law Center, Louisiana State University, where he received his juris doctor degree and graduate degree in comparative law. While in law school, Mr. Smith was named to the Chancellor's List. He participated in the LSU Law Mentor Program and the LSU Law Football Club. He also served as the law clerk for the Louisiana Attorney Disciplinary Board.

Mr. Smith is admitted to and actively practices before all Louisiana State and Federal District Courts as well as the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals.

Mr. Smith received his Bachelor of Science in Political Science from Louisiana State University in 2009 where he was named to the Dean's List.

He graduated cum laude from Jesuit High School in New Orleans, Louisiana.  He was named a National High School Coaches Association All-American, was a member of the 2004 and 2005 Louisiana Division I Wrestling State Championship Teams, and was an individual 2005 Louisiana Division I Wrestling State Runner-Up.

While attending high school, Mr. Smith achieved the rank of Eagle Scout, the highest achievement attainable in the Boy Scouts of America.

Mr. Smith resides in Port Allen, Louisiana where he is an active member of the community. He volunteers at Port Allen Elementary School, participating in programs such as Real Men Read and Donuts with Dad.

Mr. Smith is a member of the Louisiana Bar Association and the Krewe of Endymion.
