My client was charged with burglaries in three parishes. While these charges were pending, she was in prison for other charges. The sheriff's office issued an arrest warrant, but she was not transpor ... ted to be booked on these charges , and the state did not institute prosecution within the time period allowed by law. Because the time period for prosecution had run, the court granted my motion to quash and recalled the warrant.
