Meghan Leigh Young

Meghan Leigh Young is a native of Opelousas, Louisiana.   Following graduation from Opelousas Catholic High School, Meghan attended the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice and minor in Political Science Pre-Law.   While attending the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, Meghan participated in an internship at the United States Attorney’s Office for the Western District of Louisiana.

Following graduation from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, Meghan attended Loyola University New Orleans’ College of Law, obtaining a Juris Doctor in Civil Law and also receiving a certificate in Common Law.   While attending Loyola University New Orleans’ College of Law, Meghan participated in the Maritime Law Journal, as well as Loyola’s Journal of Law and Technology.

Meghan represents BHAA Abstract and Title, LLC, where she is a licensed title insurance provider and title insurance agent with First American Title Insurance Company.  Meghan’s current practice focuses on real estate transactions, which includes assisting buyers and sellers in various types of real estate matters, including real estate closings, refinances, and construction and development loans, cash sales and abstract procurement.  Meghan’s previous practice focused on domestic law, personal injury and business litigation.
