Deil Lalande

Deil J. Lalande practices in the area of civil and commercial litigation, with an emphasis on premises liability and employment law. Before joining Davidson Meaux, he was a Rule XX Student Practitioner for the Stuart H. Smith Law Clinic in New Orleans, assisting indigent clients in both the Criminal Defense and Workplace Justice sections. He is admitted to practice before all Louisiana Federal and State courts, including the U.S. Court of Appeals, Fifth Circuit.

Deil was born and raised in Creole, Louisiana before relocating to Lake Charles. He obtained both his Bachelors and Master of Arts in Psychology from McNeese State University. While at McNeese, he was an officer in the Student Union Board and Newman Club, as well as a founding member of the McNeese chapter of Pi Kappa Alpha International Fraternity, the Order of Omega Society, and the McNeese Chapter of the NAACP. Deil received his Juris Doctor in Civil Law from Loyola New Orleans College of Law. He was President of the Student Bar Association, member of the Public Interest Law Journal, St. Thomas More Inn of Court Student Member, a member of the American Bar Association Moot Court Team for Loyola, and a member of the Order of Barristers. Deil was honored to be chosen as the speaker for the Loyola College of Law Commencement Ceremony.

Deil continues to remain involved in various activities in Southwest Louisiana, including the American Bar Association, the Federal Bar Association, the Lafayette Bar Association, Operations Advisor for the Lambda Upsilon Chapter of Pi Kappa Alpha International Fraternity, and a founding member of the Southwest Louisiana Pi Kappa Alpha Alumni Association.
