Ernest S Anderson

ERNEST S. ANDERSON,  a partner in the law firm of Anderson & Anderson in Slidell, Louisiana, where his practice is focused on family law, tort and general litigation .  He received his law degree from Louisiana State University Law Center in 1983, where he graduated in the top 15% of his class.  He is a Board Certified Family Law Specialist (since its inception), having  more than 30 years experience handling family law, tort, commercial, and general litigation.  In 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015 and 2016 he was chosen by his peers as the top 5% of attorneys in Louisiana practicing family law.  Mr. Anderson is a member of Slidell Bar Association (President 1990-1991), the American Bar Association Family Law Section, Louisiana State Bar Association Family Law Section, the Covington Bar Association Family Law Section, 22nd Judicial District Court Mentoring Program Committee (chair-2014), the Family Law Advisory Commission, where he served as a member of the CLE Committee and of the Examination Committee (1996-2000; chair- 1999-2000), and is a member of the Christian Legal Society.  He has served as a qualified family law mediator and as a court appointed special master in matters of family law. He has been a frequent lecturer at local bar associations and law school continuing legal education seminars on issues of family law.  His community involvements include serving on the Board of Directors of the St. Tammany Parish Youth Service Bureau (1986-1996) and of Community Christian Concern (president 2008-2011),  serving as a Deacon in his church, and volunteering as a little league and high school coach.   Ernest S. Anderson is a lifelong resident of Slidell, Louisiana attending public schools and graduating from SlidellHigh School in 1977.  He has been married to Cecelia Lloyd Anderson for 32 years, a high school guidance counselor, and has three children, Emily (27), Russell (25) and David (21).
