You, as your son's tutor if he is still a minor, can file suit for paternity on your son's behalf. You're going to need a custody lawyer.

Do you have a private attoeney or public defender? If you have a private attoeney, you need a new one.

Unless the mother has a husband who is willing to adopt, you cannot be relieved from paying child support...so no point.
