Assisted Curosh III in Railroading Me In Louisiana

I am a Chicago Police Officer who was the victim of a violent, unprovoked felony assault in 2011. Stephen Daniel Sanders blindsided me from behind while I was seated in Center Lounge in Whiting, Indiana. The entire attack was captured on video. My jaw was broken, I was wired shut for five weeks, I lo...st a tooth, chipped a front tooth, and missed three months of work. Sanders later pled guilty. After paying more than $9,000 to Curosh Law in Indiana, I later learned that attorney Cory B. Blunk of Amite, Louisiana had been brought into my case by Joseph L. Curosh III. I expected competent enforcement of my intentional‑tort judgment. Instead, what happened to my judgment in Louisiana has caused lasting financial harm. In my experience, Curosh III hired Blunk to handle the Louisiana domestication, and the way it was done resulted in me losing all pre‑judgment and post‑judgment interest. No six years of pre‑judgment interest were ever sought in Indiana, and no post‑judgment interest has accrued in Louisiana for the past eight years. The only person who benefited from this was the individual who broke my jaw. I did not even know Blunk had represented me in Louisiana until years later. Once I discovered it, I called his office repeatedly for approximately four years, trying to understand what happened and seeking help holding Sanders financially accountable. My calls were never returned. To this day — eight years after the judgment — Sanders has never appeared for a judgment‑debtor hearing, and I have been left to deal with the consequences alone. I have been filing complaints about this situation since receiving the judgment, but nothing has been corrected. My experience is that the disciplinary process has provided no accountability and has only allowed this situation to continue. Based on my experience, the way my judgment was handled in Louisiana left it effectively dead in the water, and I cannot recommend Cory B. Blunk for judgment‑enforcement or post‑judgment representation.
