David M Abdullah

David is a partner of New Orleans-based law firm Peiffer Rosca Wolf Abdullah Carr & Kane. David’s practice includes representing clients who have suffered serious and catastrophic injury, wrongful death cases, human rights and trafficking violations, labor exploitation, product liability, contract disputes and select criminal defense matters.

David is a veteran trial attorney and litigator. He gained invaluable trial experience as an Assistant District Attorney (“ADA”) for the Parishes of Orleans and Jefferson, where he spent the better part of a decade. He also served as an Assistant Special Counsel to the Judiciary Commission of Louisiana.

Prior to forming Peiffer Rosca Wolf Abdullah Carr & Kane, David also spent four years at a local New Orleans AV-rated law firm practicing in the areas of occupational exposure and disease, products and premises liability, and wrongful death cases.

As a member of Peiffer Rosca Wolf Abdullah Carr & Kane, David utilizes his vast trial and litigation experience to represented clients who have experienced life-changing injuries and injustices.

In his civil practice, David has represented the family members of victims of horrific and catastrophic events, including oil rig explosions and other industrial accidents. David has also represented individuals and classes who have been harmed by pharmaceutical products. In addition, David also represents classes of individuals who have brought claims against employers under the Fair Labor Standards Act for failure to properly compensate workers and other violations of the FLSA.

David’s personal injury practice includes representing those who have been seriously injured under various circumstances, including automobile accidents, premises injuries and product defects.

David’s criminal practice includes defending clients against misdemeanor and felony charges in state and municipal courts. As a former prosecutor David served as a felony trial attorney, special homicide prosecutor, Code 6 prosecutor and an appeals attorney. His prosecutorial experience gives him the ability to effectively navigate the often overwhelming world of criminal litigation on behalf of his clients. David defends clients who have been charged with such crimes as DWIs, municipal crimes, various misdemeanor offenses, drug offenses, property crimes, and select violent offenses.

David received his J.D. from Tulane University Law School in 1999. While at Tulane, David participated in the Civil Law Clinic, the Street Law program, was a member and officer of the Black Law Student Association, a member of the Francis Xavier Martin chapter of Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity, and a member of the Martinet Legal Society. Prior to law school, David attended Florida A&M University, where he received his B.S. in Business Economics in 1996. David was a guest speaker at the American Association for Justice 2012 Annual Convention in Chicago and is a contributing columnist to the Louisiana Weekly newspaper.
