I was born in Dallas, Texas, and raised in the city of Allen, Texas. I received my undergraduate degree in History from the University of Oklahoma, graduating summa cum laude. While at the University of Oklahoma, I was involved in a number of campus organizations, including Delta Gamma sorority.
Shortly after receiving my Bachelor of Arts in 2012, I moved to New Orleans to attend law school. In 2015, I graduated cum laude from Tulane University Law School, earning my J.D. and a certificate in Civil Law. While in law school, I interned with CASA New Orleans, where I performed research regarding children in foster care. I also clerked for Judge Jay C. Zainey at the United States District for the Eastern District of Louisiana and Chief Judge Henry N. Brown at the Louisiana Second Circuit Court of Appeals, and served as an executive member of the Tulane Maritime Law Journal.
