 I spent the first 24 years of my life as an attorney representing financial institutions collecting both retail and commercial debt. Along the way, I have developed a thorough knowledge of the collection process which includes the sometimes inevitable bankruptcy. I have also learned a degree of compassion which is often necessary to strike a fair deal for both parties. It is a matter of knowing when to exercise that compassion. After years of hearing "every story in the book", I have learned how to exercise that judgment. There are in fact circumstances where it assists even the creditor to have faith that the truth is being told.

I have also used my knowledge to assist debtors in some circumstances. The ability to collect money is not always defined in terms of how much blood has been squeezed from the turnip. Sometimes, the best advice a collection attorney can give a client is the advice to stop. My experience lends credibility to my advice.
