Niko is an incredible lawyer. I was so unbelievably stressed by the harassing communication by private student loans contacting my cosigner and me. Because they were private loans, they could get away with almost anything to bring a case to trial. I called several lawyers in my area and as soon as t...hey heard "private student loans" they didn't want to touch the case. I felt helpless so I stayed up all night long doing research for lawyers that dealt specifically with student loans. I came across Paramount Law. I made sure to read several reviews and saw 1 or 2 that dealt with cases against the company coming after me. That was enough for me to fill out an informational page about my case for them to review. I figured it would be a dead end but that I would have nothing to lose. Niko contacted me the very next day and left me a message that sounded promising. I returned the call and just spoke with him on the phone about my case. He was very honest and told me I was up against alot to take on a student loan company that handled my private student loan. That the classification of "private" put it in a whole other class that allowed them more times than not a leg up in court. But he gave me hope, when he said that most of their endgame is to avoid going to court at all. These companies prey on victims by harassing them so badly and using intimidating tactics to say they will take them to court and automatically be able to win a percentage of their victims earnings. Truth is, these companies break the rules often and by taking them to court to FIGHT them you actually stand a strong chance to beat them. Their records aren't anything nice and they usually want to avoid going to court at all most of the time, so they look to make a settlement out of court. He told me this on the phone. I felt ease in speaking with Niko that he at least was knowledgeable enough about student loan cases to know what I was up against. It wasn't like I was going to be hiring a family lawyer to represent me in a student loan case. He had experience in this area! So no matter how bleak my case seemed in that moment, I knew I couldn't afford to have them automatically draft a percentage of my paycheck for the rest of my life, from both me and my cosigner. So I decided to hire him and thus began our long fight. And boy what a fight it was too! The next year and a half of our lives were filled with lots of continuations and delay tactics. Then Covid decided to show its face and interfered all on its own. The opposition jerked us around so much making us jump through hoops to get to a point of settlement and then would decide last minute to fight me harder. They would do this right before big holidays or right after Covid, in hopes that it would break me down and I would agree to stop fighting them in court. But each time I would sacrifice a little more, and I would find the money and continue the fight. Niko continued to put in the man hours too. It became personal to him too because he hated their tactics and it made him want to fight harder for me. Eventually he caught them in a pretty ridiculous lie and it was finally the last straw that broke the camel's back and allowed them to DROP the case for good. Niko had his largest private student loan forgiveness victory win and I was free from all the harassing communication and threats. All negative history was removed from my credit report and as a result I saw an immediate bump in my score. This has allowed for an improvement in quality of life and at least a fair chance in trying to get by day to day. I am so blown away by the fact that everything came together so perfectly in the end. That I somehow found a needle in a haystack when I did research all night and came across Niko, took a chance and fought back. He pulled the hours and we won!! So I'm writing this review to somehow pay it forward in case someone else may be up researching online for a good lawyer to help them. Trust Niko!!
