For over twenty years I have had the privilege of providing quality legal representation to individuals and businesses in Louisiana and California, as well as clients from other jurisdictions requiring representation in those states. I have written and conducted seminars on several legal issues. For more information, please refer to the classes/seminars listed below.
My range of experience includes debtor-creditor law, bankruptcy, family law and commercial matters, including litigation and business formation. I began my practice at a large firm in New Orleans, and I became a partner with one of that city's most respected bankruptcy and litigation firms. After becoming a member of the California bar, I was the manager of the Los Angeles office of a highly rated San Francisco firm. My wife and I decided to return to New Orleans, and I opened my office in New Orleans' Central Business District in 1996.
I have represented clients in state and federal courts in many jurisdictions, and I had the opportunity to represent clients before the . Claims Tribunal at The Hague. The major portion of my practice is now devoted to providing quality representation with "big firm" experience to individual clients who, in many case, would be unable to obtain that representation.

Very frustrating experience
I had an unfortunate experience with this attorney. We had one initial consultation and I gave him a retainer. We had one meeting subsequently and he reviewed a few documents. There was no follow-up or communication thereafter, and it took me nearly 4 weeks of phone calls and repeated emails to g...
I have refrained from commenting upon this review, but it's only fair that I respond. An attorney relies on his client to provide necessary information in a timely manner. In this particular case, the client did not live up to her end of the bargain on the front end, and, as a result, the project was somewhat delayed in getting started. This delay, however, did not jeopardize the client's position. In fact, the client informed me in a discussion after our initial meeting that the circumstances that had caused her to hire me improved. The suggestion that there was no "follow-up or communication" is patently unfair. As far as phone calls are concerned, there was a period of a couple of weeks during which I was out of the office and somewhat unavailable due to illness. I caught up with phone messages as quickly as possible upon my return to my office. The irony here is that I had offered the client more than one solution to the client's problem and related issues. My office had everything ready to proceed once the client made a decision regarding options that I had suggested. Unfortunately, the client seemingly was uninterested in moving forward. I only billed for the time I had invested the matter, and the balance of the client's retainer was returned to her promptly.
