also known as Juan Campos-Gutierrez
Born in Coro, Venezuela, Juan brings over two decades of legal experience to the firm. A former law professor and prosecutor, he now dedicates his practice to protecting the rights of immigrants in Louisiana with compassion, clarity, and respect.
Immigration law isn't just Juan's profession — it's personal. Born in Venezuela, he brings more than two decades of legal experience to his practice, along with a firsthand understanding of what it means to start over in a new country.
A former law professor and criminal defense attorney, Juan now devotes his practice entirely to protecting the rights of immigrants in Louisiana — with compassion, clarity, and respect.
It was during his graduate studies in the United States, while earning a Master of Comparative Law (LL.M.) from the University of Florida, that Juan found the work he was meant to do. Immigration and nationality law resonated with him in a way nothing else had, and he made the decision to rebuild his career around it.
Before opening his own practice, Juan served as a Staff Attorney with Catholic Charities Archdiocese of New Orleans, where he represented unaccompanied children — defending their rights in some of the most sensitive and complex proceedings in the immigration system.
Juan is admitted to practice law before the Louisiana Supreme Court and is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA). He provides legal services across the full scope of Immigration and Nationality Law, and is active on social media, where he shares guidance and updates to help immigrant communities stay informed.
Over the course of his career, Juan has successfully represented hundreds of clients at the administrative level, appearing before the Immigration Courts, U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, and the U.S. Department of State — representing clients across jurisdictions nationwide.
Juan is intimately familiar with the immigration process, and he brings genuine passion to every case he takes on. His practice spans most areas of immigration law, but at its core, it's about people: building real relationships with his clients and standing beside immigrants, minorities, and those facing disadvantage. Protecting immigrants' rights has become more than a profession for Juan — it's become his mission. As an immigrant himself, he understands his clients' concerns firsthand, and works to explain the complexities of immigration law in a way that's simple, clear, and easy to understand.
