Tanya Picou Faia

I hired Tanya in 2015. She did an excellent job staying on top of everything and even getting false charges refused. The outcome of everything was found not guilty on multiple charges in Jefferson and Orleans. She put me and my family's best interest first. She stayed in constant communication and n...ever left a question unanswered. Her legal knowledge and connections really sets her apart. I would highly recommend her to anyone.

Attorney Faia did not file necessary paperwork to begin a post conviction review case after I had paid her a retainer to do so. There was no written or phone contact with me for more than a year. She never pursued the case after she received the case files from the prosecutor although she did prom...ise to file a brief with the court. In order to recover a portion of my retainer I filed a fee dispute request with the Louisiana Bar Association for restitution which I received with the the Association's help. Despite several promises to initiate legal action per our agreement Attorney Faia did nothing that she promised. I was extremely disappointed by her lack of professionalism and inability to perform as agreed. She was hard to reach and never once provided me with a summary or update about her efforts. I would not recommend her based on my experience.
