The plainitff in this case sued the defendant doctor (my client) because she experienced a complication after a gynecologic procedure. The case was tried in the Superior Court for the District of Colu ... mbia. The jury returned a verdict in favor of the doctor and the plaintiff appealed. On appeal, the plaintiff argued that the trial court did not conduct a proper jury selection process and the jury's verdict was not supported by the evidence. I presented arguments to prove that the jury selection process met all requirements of law and fairness and the finding for the doctor was overwhelmingly supported by the testimony at trial.

The plaintiff was a graduate student who was expelled for falsifying his admission application. He challenged his dismissal from school claiming the University's decision violated his civil rights. W ... e filed a motion to dismiss this case for the University arguing that the facts and applicable law did not permit the plaintiff to challenge the University's academic judgment. We also argued that plaintiff offered no proof at all of any civil rights violations.
