Above and beyond

This gentleman helped me on three separate occasions where I had been falsely accused largely due to a woman in my life at the time. He was able to get all of the charges dropped, he answered his private number each time I would call. He kept me updated, in the loop. He spoke for me at my court dates.... His office staff was courteous and concise. They compiled my evidence of innocence, and the retainer was very reasonable. To the gentleman reviewer who gave one star, I believe if you spoke with Blaine he would make sure you were taken care of. But I don't know the whole story. I would recommend Blaine to anyone who needs a reliable defense attorney.

get anything thing done!

I was seeking a lawyer for a divorce and family law and I found Blaine. I spent $1,500 on the retainer and the other party did not have a lawyer so for the most part it was going to be write some papers up everything would be done. After a year and a half of waiting to get something, anything wrote... up nothing was done and I was forced to seek another lawyer. I called him to find out what was going on and he kept reassuring me he was getting to get papers done and yet we had not seen a thing. He never returned my calls if I left him a message and the only time I would talk to him would be if I just so happen to catch him in his office. I'm not sure if he had too many cases at one time or he just seen my case as easy to do thus could be put off or if he really just did not care. When I made the decision to go with another I let Blaine know and asked if there was any money left in my account from my retainer thinking maybe there would be something left being as he had not done a thing for me outside of initial preceedings and oddly enough there was nothing left. I was left frustrated and out $1,500. I am still in the process of getting thing finalized with my divorce after waiting an additional six months.

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
