Kelsey Lynn Dawson

Kelsey is a Nebraska native, born and raised in Blair.  She attended Creighton University, majoring in Theater with a minor in Legal Studies and Criminal Justice Policy.  She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in 2011.  Kelsey attended the University Of Nebraska College Of Law where she completed the Litigation Skills Program of Concentrated Study, was elected by the faculty to the Order of the Barristers, and earned her law degree in 2014.

Kelsey became certified as a Mediator by the Office of Dispute Resolution for the State of Nebraska and the University OfNebraska College Of Law during her law school studies.  She also participated on the school’s Trial Team, Arbitration Team, Mediation Team, and International Mediation Team.  Kelsey was awarded the Outstanding Advocate Award and won the intra-school competition for the International Mediation competition.  Kelsey worked as a law clerk for two different small firms and participated in the Civil Clinic and Criminal Clinic at the law school. Through these experiences Kelsey gained an understanding of administrative law, family law, personal injury, and estate planning.

Kelsey is a Guinness World Record Holder for the fastest time (17.92 seconds) to border a Lego  base plate.  Kelsey’s other special talents include singing, swing dancing, and theater. Kelsey is licensed to practice law in Nebraska at both the state and federal level.
