If you want good representation look elsewhere

I was referred to Reagan, Melton & Delaney by a close friend to work with Mr. Delaney. He suggested Megan Shupe would be a better fit for my case since it concerned child custody and a house lawsuit. The initial consult went fine, however once retained Megan quickly made me feel more like an annoyanc...e than a paying client. Multiple unreturned phone calls led me to utilize email. Unreturned emails or unanswered questions led me to cc her para legal. Unfortunately as the case continued Megan went back to ignoring questions in emails. Even when I thought we had slam dunks for my case, Megan disregarded them. I was assaulted in my home by the other party, did Megan give me advice or notify the judge? Nope. I was video taped secretly in my own home and in private spaces within the home. Did Megan try to protect me? Nope, just advised me to live life like I'm always on camera. Time and time again she deferred to what the opposing counsel wanted to do. If the opposing party violated judges order, did Megan notify the judge? No, she did not want to annoy the judge. Instead she notified opposing counsel who then accused me of doing what their client did in affidavits that went before the judge. When I fought for equal time with my kids as judge advised both parents to share equally before an order was entered, did Megan fight for me to have equal time? Definitely not, instead she tried telling me "these things aren't always fair." She even forgot offers the other attorney had made to me to make things a little closer to fair. Instead of having my back, Megan chose to argue with me and try to convince me not to see my kids as much. I dug through my emails and found the offer Megan sent me from the other attorney and then miraculously Megan was on my side again. She later admitted she had made a mistake, but guess what, she did not forget to bill me for those emails arguing against me and then later admitting she had made a mistake. I finally got to my wits end after Megan ignored multiple emails again, 3 of which I tried asking the same questions multiple times concerning the house lawsuit I informed her I wanted a second opinion. I requested a copy of attorney client agreement, and a copy of the case files? Did Megan reply? Oh no, she had her para legal reply and question why I needed those. I was transparent and stated I wanted to seek second opinions because I was losing confidence in Megan due to lack of communication. I kept it professional in case Megan wanted to reach out to address my concerns. Instead, she had her para legal send motions to withdraw and tried flipping the script on to me. Accusing me of not wanting to follow judges orders with no reference or evidence to support this. She then pretended she did more than she really did and that since the other party did not have sole ownership of our house or kids that Megan was fighting for me. Mind you, the other party lied multiple times under oath, made false police reports, and drastically changed affidavits showing anyone that can read she was trying to frame me in a bad light to achieve personal and financial gains. If you want an attorney to keep you in the loop and fight for you and your family, definitely look elsewhere.
