I agree that CPS and DHS are problems, but it takes more to win a case against them.

They have six months from the time you enter a plea of not guilty. Filing motions, etc., can extend the period.

Yes, the charge can be reduced and two he could be charged as a habitual criminal. He needs a good lawyer to help him with this.
