Child Custody Battle

When I hired Anne, she told me everything I wanted to hear. Our court case drug out for an entire year and a half. I never heard from her and I always had to reach out to her first. We had multiple consultations about my case and the further we got into the case, the more my ex got. She suggested tha...t we give him visitation before the court date, which we did. My ex is an avid drug user and had multiple charges that she never even brought up in court. She even missed one of my phone hearings. She also told me that by law I had to include him at doctor appts, etc. Which I didn't (there were domestic abuse in the case). She fought harder for my ex than she did me. During the trial she had NO backbone. She didn't even question him like she should have. I felt defeated, I was promised that she could get everything done correctly. The only reason I got what I got was because my ex admitted everything I said was true (domestics). She literally charged me for hours that she spent speaking with him. When I called I could never get ahold of her. I honestly would never recommend her to anyone and I thought she was supposed to be the best. Use her and you'll pay over 20k for NOTHING. To this day I do not have my divorce decree and have not heard from her. Besides when she would send me a bill. Not only that after everything she sent me a letter saying that she could help me with other legal matters. No thanks. Total scam. She MAYBE worked 5 hours on my case. Save yourself some time and do your homework. I could have represented myself and got better results. She takes full advantage of people who need representation and says she can get the job done. She doesn't care about anything, but the OUTRAGEOUS bill she sends you. You're better off getting someone new to the game who wants to prove themselves!

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
