OUTCOME: Client was found not guilty of all charges after a jury trial

My client was charged with gun and ammunition possession without a license. The police chased my client from the sidewalk in front of a friends house, around to the rear of the house, and for several ... more blocks behind the house where he was arrested. The police recovered a firearm in my client's flight path on the side of the house where my client's shoe and a cellphone attributed to my client were also recovered. The prosecution conducted DNA testing, and presented DNA evidence at trial. The DNA evidence revealed that at least four individuals' DNA profile were present on the firearm including "moderate support" that my client's DNA profile was included as one of the four. After a jury trial, my client was found not guilty of all charges.

OUTCOME: Case Dismissed after Court granted Motion to Suppress Evidence

My client was charged with possession with intent to distribute marijuana after a quantity of marijuana and drug paraphernalia were recovered from her vehicle. My client and friends were in and arou ... nd her vehicle which was parked on the street. The police claimed the vehicle was parked in a no parking zone. The police approached the vehicle and claimed to have seen an open container of alcohol and smelled an odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle. Based on this evidence the police searched my client's vehicle and recovered a quantity of marijuana and paraphernalia in the vehicle. At a hearing after filing a motion to suppress the recovery of the drug evidence, the Court granted the motion finding that the Officers had conducted an illegal seizure and subsequent search of the vehicle. The case against my client was subsequently dismissed.

My client was charged with Carrying a Pistol without a license after the police stopped my client at a checkpoint and ultimately searching the car after it was revealed that my client did not possess a ... valid driver's permit. The police searched a bag that was under the driver's seat where my client had been sitting at the time of the stop and recovered a firearm in the bag. Absent any forensic evidence, or evidence that my client owned the car or had knowledge of the firearm in the bag under the seat, the Jury found my client not guilty.

My client was charged with Felon in Possession of a Firearm and Carrying a Pistol without a license. He was arrested at the train station by Amtrak Police after his girlfriend called the police and in ... formed them that he had a gun in his bag and was on his way to the train station. After police identified my client at the station they searched his bag and recovered a firearm in the side pocket of the bag. Based on investigation into the girlfriend's criminal past, we successfully argued that she was not believable and that she had put the gun in his bag prior to him leaving her house and arriving at the train station. The jury found my client not guilty on all charges
