Kristen graduated from Hutchinson Community College and earned a Bachelor’s degree with honors from Wichita State University. Kristen has 12+ years of probate and trust legal experience, working as a paralegal and law clerk before and during her time in law school. Kristen completed her law degree at University of Missouri – Kansas City School of Law. During law school, Kristen served as the president of the UMKC Estates & Trusts Society and was inducted into Phi Delta Phi, a legal honor society.
Ms. Armstrong is a member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys (NAELA) and serves on the Kansas NAELA education and litigation committees. Ms. Armstrong is active in the community, serving as a board member for BrightHouse, Young Professionals of Reno County, and as an executive board member on the Reno Co. Extension Council. She volunteers for fundraising efforts for United Way, Reno County 4-H Foundation, and Interfaith Housing & Community Services. Ms. Armstrong is active with the Reno County Bar Association, Kansas NAELA (serving as Treasurer), and National NAELA (serving on the Special Needs Trusts & Trusts Steering Committee). She is also a part-time instructor at Hutchinson Community College.
Outside of work, Kristen and her husband, Stephen, enjoy spending time with their 7-year-old daughter, and dogs, Marley & Macy. They enjoy participating in local community events, bike riding around the neighborhood, reading, and practicing yoga.

Kristen is very knowledgeable and very good at what she does. She is also very caring. She and her team were a great help in setting up our wills and advance directives. She is a great asset to Hutchinson.
