Sidney A. Reitz

Sid Reitz’s practice is focused primarily on the areas of estate and business succession planning with emphasis on the formation of trusts, corporations, limited liability companies and family limited partnerships. In addition, he assists families and individuals with the preservation, management and transfer of wealth, charitable planning, business valuations and planning with life insurance. He also arranges major lifetime and testamentary gifts on behalf of both individuals and institutions. Mr. Reitz has made numerous presentations relating to trusts, estate planning, and business succession planning on the local and regional levels. Mr. Reitz was recognized as an Outstanding Estate Planning Professional of Kansas by the Wichita Chapter of Chartered Life Underwriters and Chartered Financial Consultants.

Mr. Reitz was born and raised in Salina, Kansas, received his undergraduate degree in accounting from Kansas State University in 1971 and his law degree from Washburn Law School in 1975. He joined the firm upon his graduation and became a partner January, 1979. Professional affiliations include the Saline-Ottawa Counties Bar, Kansas Bar, and American Bar Associations. He was admitted to the Kansas Bar in 1976 and the U.S. Tax Court in 1982.

Active in the community, Mr. Reitz currently serves on the Board of Directors of Salina Regional Health Foundation, Chairman for Rolling Hills Wildlife Adventure, Salina Presbyterian Manor Endowment, and Salina Family YMCA Endowment Fund. He has served as President on the boards of the Salina Family YMCA, Greater Salina Community Foundation, and Stiefel Theatre for the Performing Arts; a Director on the Salina Community Theatre and Coronado Area Boy Scouts; an Elder and Trustee of First Presbyterian Church; and a Trustee of Kansas State University Foundation, Kansas State University — Salina Foundation, Salina Education Foundation, and First Presbyterian Church Endowment Fund.
