A Little Backstory: I have an existing paternity agreement prepared by a different attorney which outlines child support and parenting time. Since it was filed, there have been major changes in the other party's residence and income. I went to Mr. McPherson for an independent review to see if I sho...uld initiate a revision. My Experience: From the first phone call, I was treated with dignity and respect. The office staff were efficient and professional. I was able to secure an appointment within the week, and the fees were clearly stated to me in advance. The fee was very reasonable and affordable. Mr. McPherson arrived at the appointment fully prepared, having previously reviewed all filings related to the case. This essentially eliminated the learning curve, and allowed us to get down to my questions immediately. He is the FIRST person to explain the child support calculation worksheet in terms I understood. We worked together to run prospective numbers reflecting changes in income, related expenses such as day care and age categories. I finally understand not only how child support is calculated, but I also feel fully prepared for the future. Now for the most important part. He did all of this knowing I would likely NOT retain him at this time. Trust me, if I wanted to pursue the case, I would have retained his services immediately. But, in my case, it was best to leave everything as is for now. If/when the time comes to seek counsel again, he will be my first choice!
