I have devoted my professional career to providing skilled legal counsel to my clients. I routinely provide advice on a broad range of real estate issues and my clients range from the first-time buyer of a single-family home to the experienced developer looking to open a new 100+ acre mixed use development. I am licensed to practice law in both Oklahoma and Kansas.
Much of my time is spent assisting clients with the development and redevelopment of real estate, from negotiating the initial property contract up to, and including, closing on the construction loans. I am well versed in assisting clients navigate the due diligence process, work through title and zoning issues, negotiate easement agreements and other third-party agreements with neighbors and municipalities, drafting CC&Rs (both commercial and residential), creating condominium and townhome developments, and reviewing loan documents.
I also assist clients navigate the complexities of the Kansas Corporate Farming Act, draft and negotiate commercial leases, draft and revise venue leases, draft and review residential leases, identify and address COVID-19 related issues that have affected both landlords and tenants, and draft and negotiate hunting and agricultural leases.
One of my favorite parts of being an attorney is being able to break down complex issues for clients and to draft documents for clients that are readable and usable in their day-to-day business operations. Not only have I drafted new and novel agreements for clients, I have also assisted multiple clients revise their contracts and forms to utilize formatting and language that is much more appropriate for the client’s target audiences.
