My first worst experience

To make a long story short I wasn't treated like a client Boykin (lawyer) was very judgemental and only took my retainer fee and never did a thing other than sending me emails about the law. If that was the case I won't need him in the first place, I retained him to help me to get my daughter out of ...a neglectful situation that Boykin didn't took seriously. ... Boykin has no compassion for helping and I regret spending my hard earned money for a lawyer that took disadvantage of me... he told me that he wasn't on nobody's side after I retained him when I was told he was siding with the other party on the case... then he wanted to act as if he was interested just so I could sign the paper for him to charge me more and make me lose my case, after I am fighting to get my daughter from her father that is using my child to control me. Boykin is a poor excuse for a lawyer and his actions shows that he does not care nor have compassion.

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
