Estate Planning and more

When our previous attorney retired, we didn't think we needed to look for his replacement right away but life isn't always predictable. We met with Steve to rework our estate planning which included selling our farm house and acreage, recognizing a legal and safe way to handle our trust, and how to p...ass our assets on to our teenage boys as they mature into adulthood. He was clear, easy to understand, and gave us options that fit our goals and values. Along the way, I mentioned that my mom needed to update her 30 year old will and that we needed to designate a financial POA and a health POA for her. He asked about my dad, who has been deceased for years. He pointed out that my mom could receive some benefits from his service in the Korean War if she had medical need - and she most certainly does. In fact, due to my mom's limited mobility, Steve helped met her where she felt most comfortable. Thanks to Steve, we have our trust redefined as needed, mom's will and POAs taken care of, and another resource to help my mom as she approaches 90.

This man is ridiculous.

Currently he is our incompetent City Attorney. He's very confused about reality, he works for us. We don't work for him. If elected Mayor, I will terminate his services.

Steven D. Iverson

I have tried numerous times to get my end of life matters (trust, will, power go attorney, etc.) in order and have never even got to stage one. Upon the recent passing of my half brother, who had no documentation as to his wishes, I contacted Steve through my financial adviser Sheldon Rinkes. Whe...n Steve and I met at our first appointment it was obvious that we had several things in common (military background, carpentry skills, family oriented), and that he knew his business, was dedicated to serving the needs of his clients, and had the character that I feel is necessary to always do the right thing. Being able to immediately relate to Steve on a personal level and realizing the level of expertise he had relative to my need for proper end of life planning, I hired Steve on the spot. He immediately began the process by asking many questions that would allow him to properly document my wishes, contacted my children to obtain their input, accumulated numerous documents from various business and government entities in order to establish the various assets that I hold. After accumulating all of the necessary information I was presented with my "Estate Planning Portfolio", establishing a trust, living will, and various power's of attorney that legally states my end of life wishes. This process was done promptly and professionally, which gives me great peace of mind knowing that with the many documents included in the portfolio and Steve's representation upon my passing, the transition will be an easy one for my children, grand children, and extended family members.

Hard working and dependable attorney

I have known Steven for over 6 years personally and professionally. He is a extremely hard working man and will do what is best for his clients welfare. Steven is a honest and direct man but with compassion and sensitivity when needed for such cases as wills and trusts. Steven has also helped me wi...th the start up of my business and has been very knowledgeable with the laws and tax information that is needed with a business. I would highly recommend Steven to anyone looking for a hard working, trustworthy attorney. In today’s world finding that is very rare. I feel very lucky to have meant him and his beautiful family. I consider it a privilege to call him my attorney and friend.

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals.
