A man in his 70's was going fishing with his wife. While on their way, they were struck by a tractor-trailor. They were at a complete stop at an intersection and then proceeded to cross. As they cro ... ssed, the man had to inch forward to get a clear view and as a result, could not accelerate quickly enough to cross the road and was hit by the oncoming tractor-trailor. As a result of the accident, the man's wife passed away and the man was severely injured and hospitalized. We sued the owner of the corner property at the intersection for failing to maintain a clean property and obstructing the view of traffic. We also sued the driver of the tractor-trailer because after investigation, we learned he was speeding.
