Emily R. Saunders

Attorney Emily Saunders is originally from the Kansas City area and chose to come back to the area to practice law after graduating from Kansas State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Spanish Translation and the University of Kansas School of Law pro bono distinction.

Emily’s law practice began in the field of high-net-worth estate planning, tax, and business law. However, the times she was able to help families navigate divorce through their estate plan solidified her interest in the area. Emily’s practice involves all areas of family law including, but not limited to, pre- and post-nuptial agreements, divorce, and separation.

Emily is a member of Kansas Women Attorneys Association, LGBTQ+ Bar Association of Greater Kansas City, Kansas Women Attorneys for Freedom, and Association of Women Lawyers of Greater Kansas City. She also serves on the Kansas City Symphony’s Forte committee as well as her sorority’s House Corporation, and her sorority alumni group’s board of directors.

In her limited free time, Emily enjoys spending time with her husband, along with their basset hound and former street cat.
