I work with clients to prepare estate plans to minimize estate taxes and to avoid probate. Our goal is to make sure the goal of the client is served in documents that we prepare whether we prepare wills, a joint trust, or multiple trusts to carry out the clients wishes.

In working with new or established companies there are many issues such as organizational structure, tax considerations, buy-sell agreements, non-compete agreements and owner disputes that we have helped clients with over the years. In addition I have helped a number of clients buy or sell businesses. Understanding how the transaction is impacted by tax and other considerations is perhaps the most important aspect of this type of work.

I have helped clients with purchase and sale contracts, title issues,closing of real estate transactions, leases, and quiet title matters.

With the popularity of trusts, we don't do as much probate work as we used to, but there is still a need from time to time to use the probate court to give effect to the decedent's will and make sure the rightful heirs receive their inheritance.
