I paid him weekly and the retainer and he filed my divorce. But I found out after spending almost $1300 with him my divorce was thrown out for lack of prosecution by a judge. He didn’t file anything with the court for over 30 days. I called and email to no avail until I told him if I don’t get a refu...nd I would sue him. I was prepared to take him to small claims court then he finally returned all my money.

Called Mr. Shepard to handle my divorce. It was a bad experience right from the beginning with an email he didn't send, then he didn't call me back, then he wouldn't reply to my email until he finally stopped answering me altogether - this AFTER he took my $750. He got $750 dollars and I got NOTHIN...G! DO NOT USE THIS ATTORNEY - YOU WILL BE ROBBED AND NOT REPRESENTED

Sounded like an awesome attorney at first. Had the attitude to fight and that time to put your feet to the fire kind of attitude. After hiring him, He always had excuses as to why he couldn't talk. Always had a case out of town. Ended up throwing my case towards another attorney that he contracted wi...th, that attroney was highly UNDERQUALIFIED for a custody case and caused me to lose my initial case of concerns of meds not being given to my child. After telling him I wanted that attroney fired and for him to take my case because he was the one i hired, he gave my case to another attroney instead. This new attorney turned out to be FANTASTIC! Things happend and that attorney left his firm,and had to drop me as a client becaue chris threatend to sue him if he took on any of his former clients.So initially i lost a FANTASTIC attorney, that was getting the job done on my case. I have been trying to contact Chris through email, text and phone calls to him as well as his assistant with NO RESPONSE from anyone!!! He was suppose to be putting in new motions and following up with ongoing motions that were time sensative. He has exchanged a few emails and phone calls in the begining back in august,but has fallen off the face of the earth since then. I have been contiuing to pay him with no work being done. I am highly disapointed in this man and his unprofessional actions. I dont recomend anyone to hire this firm.
