James Patrick Flanigan

Mr. Flanigan knows the system but he doesn't know how to fight for his clients. I pretty much knew the outcome of my child support case before hiring Mr. Flanigan because the state has a formula to determine child support. However, Mr. Flanigan charged me for 6 hours for "Court Preparation" but he ...didn't ask any questions or do anything the day of court. To this day, I'm not sure how he spent 6 hours preparing for court when he did nothing in court. This wasn't the only time I was charged for miscellaneous services that were unnecessary. He talked me into using another attorney "friend" for a specialty service for $1,000 and it ended up being worthless. By hiring his attorney "friend" it caused me to pay more per month than I would have if he didn't bring his attorney "friend" into the mix. It's complicated but this second attorney caused a reaction from the other parent which ended up adding to my monthly payment. I would not recommend Mr. Flanigan to anyone who's looking for an attorney in a child support case unless you just want an expensive paper-pusher. I made a mistake ... I hope you won't.
